About

Hello, my name is Sarah Shaw. I’m an illustrator and art educator from Portland, Maine. In 2010, I graduated with a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Since then, I’ve worked and studied in South Korea, volunteered with the Peace Corps in Cartagena, Colombia, and currently, I teach secondary art & design in Kathmandu, Nepal.

My work is mainly inspired by traveling and living abroad, often focusing on the daily lives of people and their environments. I experiment with an array of tools and techniques, but the majority of my drawings are created with Faber-Castell Pitt pens, Copic and Prismacolor markers and Prismacolor colored pencils.
